spring read-a-thon

This Spring, Highland Elementary will hold its 2nd Annual Read-A-Thon. During this two-week event, our goal is to make more enthusiastic Husky readers while raising money for important PTO-sponsored activities and programs.

Like our Race for Education fundraiser in the past, students will use sponsorship forms to ask family and friends to donate a flat donation to support their reading efforts. All contributions are tax-deductible.

The PTO needs each Highland family to fill out and return 5 Read-A-Thon mailers (enclosed). The PTO will take care of postage and mailing the mailers. Please consider sponsoring your own children! Sponsorships can be made through PayPal at www.highlandpto.com.

Reading logs will be distributed in class to each student prior to the start of the event. Completed logs should be signed by a parent/guardian and returned to the teacher on Wednesday, May 30th.

FOUR AMAZING PRIZES

  • Every family that completes all 5 sponsorship forms will be entered into a drawing to win 4 tickets to Hershey Park
  • The student from every grade with the most minutes read will win a $20 gift card to Barnes & Noble
  • The class with the most minutes read will win a Rita’s Water Ice Party
  • The class that raises the most money will win a Pizza Party, plus extra recess

ALL MAILERS MUST BE RETURNED BY MONDAY, MAY 14th

We are counting on your support!

Thank you,

The Read-A-Thon Committee
